Matt at the Movies

Odeon’s brand new DVD was released on 24th July.  “Matt at the Movies” is available at all good record shops as well as most on-line music shops selling for a recommended retail price of £14.99.

It contains footage of dad’s only feature length movie made with George Montgomery and Tippi Hedren, “Satan’s Harvest”.  Filmed on location in South Africa it was dad’s first and only attempt at acting.  George and dad were very good friends and George had been after dad to appear in one of his films for ages.  On seeing the script for Devil’s Harvest (its original working title) dad picked a character with only one speaking line.  Unbeknown to dad, George re-wrote the whole script for the character “Bates” and extended the screen time.
The film is coupled with “Go Go with Matt Monro” a 45-minute film with special guests Roy Castle and Marion Montgomery which includes;
